How do I get started with OTTO? +

Getting started is easy! Here's what to expect:

What information do I need to provide? +

During onboarding, we'll ask for:

  • Your business name and industry
  • Business hours and contact information
  • Common FAQs your customers ask
  • Your logo and brand colors
  • Any specific greetings or personality you want
How long does setup take? +

Most chatbots are ready within 3-7 business days after you complete the onboarding form. Complex integrations or custom requirements may take a bit longer - we'll communicate timelines clearly.

Can I try before I buy? +

Installation

How do I install OTTO on my website? +

After your chatbot is built, you'll receive a simple embed code. Just paste it before the closing </body> tag on your website. It works with any website platform including WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, and custom sites.

Does OTTO work with WordPress? +

Absolutely! You can add the embed code using a plugin like "Insert Headers and Footers" or by editing your theme's footer.php file. We provide step-by-step instructions for WordPress during setup.

Will OTTO slow down my website? +

No! OTTO loads asynchronously, meaning it won't block your page from loading. The widget is lightweight and optimized for performance. Your visitors won't notice any slowdown.

Can I install OTTO on multiple websites? +

Each subscription covers one website/domain. If you need OTTO on multiple sites, you'll need separate subscriptions for each. Contact us for multi-site discounts.

Customization

Can I change OTTO's colors to match my brand? +

Yes! OTTO is fully customizable to match your brand. We can change the primary color, button colors, chat bubble style, and more. Just provide your brand colors during onboarding or request changes anytime.

Can I add my logo to the chat widget? +

Absolutely! Your logo appears in the chat header and helps customers recognize they're chatting with your business. Upload your logo during onboarding in PNG or JPG format.

How do I update my chatbot's FAQs? +

Contact our support team with your updated FAQs and we'll update your chatbot within 24-48 hours. Pro and Elite plans include more frequent updates.

Can I change the greeting message? +

Yes! You can customize the initial greeting, the chatbot's name, its personality/tone, and how it introduces itself. Just let us know what you'd like.

What CRM systems does OTTO integrate with? +

OTTO integrates with popular CRMs including HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, Pipedrive, and more. Pro and Elite plans include direct CRM integrations. We also connect via Zapier to 5,000+ other apps.

Can OTTO book appointments on my calendar? +

Yes! Pro and Elite plans include calendar integration with Google Calendar, Outlook, Calendly, and more. OTTO can check availability and book appointments 24/7.

How does Zapier integration work? +

When OTTO captures a lead, it can trigger a Zapier workflow. You can then send that lead to any of 5,000+ apps - your email, CRM, spreadsheet, SMS service, and more. We help you set this up.

Billing & Plans

What's included in the setup fee? +

The one-time setup fee covers custom development of your AI chatbot, including training it on your business information, customizing the design, and configuring integrations. It's a one-time payment, not recurring.

Can I cancel my subscription? +

Yes, you can cancel anytime with 30 days written notice. Your chatbot will remain active until the end of your current billing period. Setup fees are non-refundable as they cover completed work.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan? +

Yes! You can upgrade anytime and only pay the difference. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Contact us to make changes.

What payment methods do you accept? +

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) through Stripe, our secure payment processor. We can also arrange invoicing for annual plans.

Troubleshooting

My chatbot isn't appearing on my website +

Check that:

  • The embed code is placed before the closing </body> tag
  • You've cleared your browser cache
  • There are no JavaScript errors on the page
  • Ad blockers are disabled (they can sometimes block widgets)

OTTO is giving incorrect answers +

Send us the specific questions and incorrect answers, and we'll update OTTO's knowledge base. This usually takes 24-48 hours to fix.

I'm not receiving lead notifications +

Check your spam folder first. If notifications are still missing, verify your email address is correct in your account settings. You can also check your dashboard directly for captured leads.

The chat widget looks broken on mobile +

OTTO is designed to be mobile-responsive. If you're seeing display issues, send us a screenshot and your website URL. It may be a CSS conflict we can resolve quickly.
